The first day felt a little slow however the information given was necessary and informative. I really enjoyed the more practical element, the forest school scenarios were so useful!
The course was very comprehensive the trainer extremely knowledgeable and tailored the course to the needs of the group. The venue was great, room a little small but use of hall overcame that issue.
Danny was excellent and I enjoyed the course
Outside venue is required if advertised as a forest school first aid course
A good first aid course. However, frustrating that the course was not in an outdoor setting. However, I really appreciated that Danny did manage to get us outside on the grass verge as much as possible for scenarios. It would be beneficial if the trainer has had some experience of Forest School settings prior to delivering the training to.fully understand the challenges faced. Danny was very accomodating and interesting and pleased he adapted where possible to get us a but outside.
Overall it was good, but it could have been condensed to a 1 day refresher. The course should be more updated, including people of different ethnicities showing different signs (pale, ashy, include photos). Also stroke symptoms for men and women. Generally more outdoor scenarios since it's an outdoor course.
Good range of topics covered relevant to what we need as forest school leaders. Good amount of practical scenarios to practice skills. Venue not great - facilities weren’t great and no woodland to practice scenarios in the same environment that we are working in.
Since it is forest school first aid, it would be good to have done the training in woodland rather than indoors.
Venue was clean parking next door great
