Level 2 Certificate in Special Education Needs and Disability reviews

4.9 (684 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

The course’s strongest feature is its inclusive, supportive teaching: attendees say knowledgeable, patient trainers make complex SEND themes accessible through clear explanations, practical examples, case studies, group discussions and activities. They value the well-organised sessions, approachable guidance, easy-to-follow workbooks and opportunities to participate at a comfortable pace. The learning strengthens confidence and provides useful strategies for supporting children and families with SEND at work and in everyday life, although some find questions repetitive.

Our tutor Lindsey was fabulous and can’t fault all her teaching efforts at all. The course content however was monotonous, repetitive and lengthy in parts due to the laborious nature of the insight to legislation covered. This is no reflection on Lindsey. There was no way of making legislation sexy to learn.

Booklets become tatty and A lot of crossing out (me personally) when I’m struggling with spellings ect and having to highlight/staple extra pages. Having electronic booklets may be a better option
