Description
This recently updated CPD is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to understand better and address the unique challenges women face and how their reproductive hormones impact their mental health, thereby enhancing your ability as a hypnotherapist to support the women in your clinic.
During the CPD, we will explore the practical aspects of understanding women’s reproductive health. We will cover the differences between the male and female brain, examine the Menstrual Cycle, and provide foundational knowledge to help practitioners understand how hormonal changes affect women. This knowledge will empower you to help women reduce stress and anxiety and regain control over their bodies.
Given that 1 in 5 women experience anxiety and depression, and women in the UK are more than twice as likely as men to have a Common Mental Health issue, it’s crucial to understand that these statistics are linked to the hormonal changes women undergo during their reproductive lives. This CPD is a vital step in addressing these mental health issues.
What you will learn
This CPD explains the differences in women’s and men’s brains, various events, including PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome), PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), low libido and sexual dysfunction, common Gynaecological issues such as Endometriosis, Polycystic ovary syndrome, contraceptives, and their effect on the brain, and how we work as Hypnotherapists to help women to cope with them.
