This course will give you an in-depth understanding of mental health and the various signs of poor mental health in young children, how to approach this topic and aid the children in your care.
The main aim of this qualification is to help you to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to effectively support children and early years mental health and to promote healthy practices.
The course is free to learners subject to meeting eligibility below.

Lived in the UK for the last 3 years

- Legislation and best practice relating to children and young people’s mental health
- Living with childhood mental health conditions
- How to minimise the risk of mental health concerns
- Causes and diagnosis of mental health concerns
How you will learn:
- The course is run in-person with engaging tutor led sessions in a classroom setting, it is designed to be interactive and different to traditional methods of teaching.
- There is no staring at a PowerPoint presentation, instead we will focus on the needs of the individual learners through collaborative teaching methods.
- Throughout the course you will receive and have access to a range of resources in order to enable you to develop your skills and knowledge of mental health illnesses in children.
