Understanding stress and anxiety

Description

This interactive workshop is designed to enhance understanding of why we experience stress and anxiety. It will focus on the link between our brain, bodies and environments, and how we can help ourselves and our teams manage recognisable feeling of anxiety and feel more regulated.

The session consists of five main sections:
1) What are stress and anxiety?
2) How do stress and anxiety affect us at work?
3) What contributed to stress and anxiety?
4) How do our bodies respond to stress and anxiety?
5) How can we help ourselves and others become more regulated when experiencing stress and anxiety?
The workshop will provide insights from the latest research and theory and provide the opportunity to explore organisation-specific issues and strategies. As well as identifying key risk factors and understanding the brain/body/environment interaction, the session offers practical strategies for delegates to take away and implement at work and home.
