Who should attend
All persons needing to become a Registered Streetworks Supervisors working on the roads/highways in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA)
Pre-requisites
All learners are required to be familiar with the content of The Safety at Streetworks and Roadworks ACOP “The Red Book” as they will be required to pass a multiple choice underpinning knowledge test prior to be permitted to undertake the practical assessment required to complete the award.
It is recommended that all learners have experience of / knowledge of work site surveys & identifying hazards, to establish signing, lighting & guarding requirements. Supervising the installing of temporary traffic management signals, including relevant signage, etc. Protecting pedestrians, vehicular site personnel (i.e. creating footways, traffic lanes and safety zones).

The course aims to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to perform Supervisor duties to the standards prescribed by SQA in-line with the NRSWA Act 1991, in order to safeguard themselves and others.
