This CPD is designed to give an insight into the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and how SFH can help to alleviate their symptoms.
Course content:
Knowledge of the cancer journey for a client from diagnosis to recovery.
How SFH can support the terminal cancer client.
The potential side-effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Scientific studies supporting hypnotherapy and cancer treatment side effects.
An understanding of the ASA guidelines relating to Cancer and how to promote this very important area.
What you will learn
Objectives:
To gain confidence in the effectiveness of SFH as a tool to support clients with side effects from cancer treatment.
Knowledge of relevant case studies.
An understanding of the symptoms that can be helped with SFH, including pain, nausea, vomiting, nervous bladder, anxiety and low mood.
To feel confident with the SFH protocol when working with a client struggling with the side effects of chemotherapy/radiotherapy.
To be able to ethically promote this delicate area to potential clients.
To support clients and their families facing or undergoing cancer treatments.
To have an understanding of the issues surrounding a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
