Description

The Health and Care Act 2022 legally requires registered health and care providers in England ensure their staff receive training on learning disabilities and autism.

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training is the governments preferred training package. Oliver McGowan was a young man diagnosed with mild autism and learning disability who died due to swelling on the brain after being given antipsychotic medication, despite previous adverse reactions and his expressed wishes not to have the medication.

You will join other participants in a fully interactive virtual course, delivered in real time by an experienced trainer via webcam. The course includes interactive elements, group discussions and opportunities to ask questions, creating a classroom-style experience from home.
